Brief: Design a facility or service which allows people with Spinal Cord Injuries to enjoy water-based activities on SEQwater lakes and dams whilst maximising autonomy.
Solution: Elevate is a modular kayak launcher designed with people with spinal cord injuries in mind. This facility gives people with SCI complete or partial freedom and allows them to live an active lifestyle. Elevate’s transfer bench design, as well as the inclusion of assisting tools like wheelchair storage, bag storage, and caregiver seats, make kayaking a simple and enjoyable experience.

Elevate delivers an adjustable kayak launching pontoon for every setting with its modular design, allowing buyers to choose single or double variants according to their budget.
Durable and sustainable
Elevate is made of sturdy materials including HDPE, aluminium, marine carpet, marine vinyl, and corrugated polycarbonate, ensuring it doesn't impact water quality or disintegrate in the sun.
Informed from research
Interviews and studies were undertaken with a paralympic coach to learn more about how to provide the optimal seat transfer experience for people with spinal injuries, guaranteeing that people of all abilities could comfortably enter and exit the kayak.
