RYOBI REDESIGN
Futuristic Lawnmower
Team: Coen Lange, Henry Gomez-borowski, Hsuan Lee, Justin Lewis, Travis Keys
Brief: Dismantle the given Ryobi product and redesign the product to push the boundaries of technology for the future.
Solution: We were given the task of disassembling and redesigning a Ryobi product so that it could be manufactured. After finding that the length of the Ryobi lawnmower’s grass catcher made it difficult to manoeuvre in small to medium backyards, the catcher was modified to make it simpler to manage and dispose of.

Compact and reliable
Compared to the original lawnmower, the redesign boasts a 30% decrease in length, allowing easy and comfortable grass catcher disposal for the user.
Designed for manufacture
The redesign, which was inspired by extensive examinations of the Ryobi 18V ONE + lawnmower, meticulously replicates the original's fasteners and housings in order to prepare it for manufacture.
Technical drawings
Technical drawings were produced to make the project suitable for manufacture, specifying aspects such as colour, material and finish.
